one-of-a-kind ceramics
Over the past several years, we have developed our own intricate and unique technique, in which liquid stoneware, coloured with high-firing pigments of our own exclusive recipes, is slipcast, then skillfully cut and shaped by hand into pieces featuring unexpected double-faced designs.
This technique results in striking and elegant painterly effects reminiscent of modernist art.
This elaborate process requires several days of dedicated work, followed by a long, slow drying period, and two separate firings lasting 24 hours each.
The results of this painstaking process are pieces with a wonderfully tactile matte surface, where the glaze beautifully enhances the richness of their colours.
The matte glaze we have chosen creates an intriguing interplay of different levels of sheen: the deep black areas remain almost entirely matte, providing a strong contrast, while the vibrant blues develop a subtle gloss that highlights and accentuates their presence.
