SNUFF BOTTLES
During our residency in Jingdezhen, China, we fell deeply in love with the local Jade Porcelain,
whose clarity combined with the vast range of pigments and body stains available locally allowed us to produce the most wonderful hues.
We experimented with several slip-casting techniques and processes, ultimately creating around 600 individually made pieces.
The elegant shapes called to mind the historical snuff bottles of the late Ming and Qing dynasties.
We carefully arranged the bottles on specially designed wooden panels, creating striking and evocative wall-art installations.
